Moroccan artist Saida Fikri published a report concerning the cancellation of her concert, scheduled for October 26 at the open-air theater in Agadir, where she accused the concert organizer of blackmail and non-compliance with her obligations. financial.
The artist, who recently returned from America, said she was excited to meet her fans and had undergone extensive training with her group. However, once I arrived in Agadir and covered the travel expenses, I was surprised that the organizer had not met the requirements of their contract. She was faced with two frustrating choices: either go on stage without compensation or be accused of disrespecting her audience.
The artist explained that she could not accept the blackmail, because the organizer had distorted her reputation through misleading statements, claiming that she refused to sing due to the lack of an audience. She stressed that the decision not to take the stage was the result of her commitment to the dignity of art and the artist, and that she would not allow herself to be subjected to unethical practices.
She also indicated that her insistence on her financial rights was not solely motivated by money, but rather her goal was to shut the door on blackmailers. She explained that she had always given free concerts for noble causes, but this time she was forced to stand up for her rights.
In a serious move, she confirmed that she had filed a complaint against the organizer with the Agadir security services, and that she would take the necessary legal measures to hold him responsible for the damage she suffered.
Concluding the statement, the artist apologized to her fans in Agadir for this cancellation and confirmed that she would organize the next concerts with respected organizers, in order to improve communication with her fans and continue to present authentic art.
