The minister underlined, in a speech read on his behalf by the secretary general of the ministry, Khaled Al-Sharqawi, during a symposium on the “Aeronautics Industry System”, organized as part of the seventh session of the Salon international aeronautics of Marrakech “Marrakesh Air Show 2024″, that major players in the sector such as “Boeing” and “Airbus” and “Safran” have chosen Morocco to set up production units, believing that this strengthens the competitiveness of this industry national and promotes the transfer of related know-how.
He added that the maintenance, repair and inspection industry is “a pillar of our aeronautical system”, explaining that Morocco, with the presence of key players, has become “a regional center of services and aeronautical maintenance components, meeting the needs of the country’s airlines. the region and the global market.
He continued that this strategic activity creates significant employment opportunities and constitutes a source of growth for the national economy, stressing that the General Directorate of Civil Aviation works alongside the industrial system and training institutes to improve continually follow training courses and organize exams to obtain training certificates. aviation-related industries, which qualify workers to perform various specialized jobs in the field.
