Al-Fathawi declared in an oral question addressed to the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries, Rural Development, Water and Forests, that a state of tension prevails within professional circles, particularly at the level of the definition of responsibilities and knowledge of the real reasons that led to this. worrying situation.
A member of the Justice and Development parliamentary group stressed that there is a consensus on the weakness of control, which is at the heart of the ministry’s competence, adding: “But some professionals also believe that certain huge fleets, such as fishing boats refrigerated vessels, called RSW, contribute to the depletion of surface reserves, while others believe that the responsibility lies with the multi-coastal fleet, and others believe that the growth of large numbers of small fishing boats without a license is at the origin of this hemorrhage.
