Yesterday, Thursday October 31, 2024, the Minister of Transport and Logistics, Abdel Samad Qiouh, chaired the inauguration ceremony of Mr. Abdel Wahab Fadel, appointed by His Majesty King Mohammed VI governor of the province of Midelt.
After reading the appointment letter, Qayuh congratulated the new worker for the royal trust he received, recalling the professional career and the great experience that Mr. Fadel has accumulated in the territorial administration of the different regions.
The minister stressed that this appointment comes in a particular context characterized by numerous challenges that require greater efforts and the use of innovative solutions to deal with the problems linked to the water problem and successive years of drought.
In this context, he called for optimal implementation of the Royal Instructions linked to the preservation of water resources, and for greater mobilization to fight against all forms of excessive exploitation, waste and irrational use of water.
On the other hand, the minister stressed that Morocco, under the enlightened leadership of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, has placed human and social development at the heart of its priorities, calling, in this regard, workers and all parties concerned to move forward on this path and by implementing projects with a social and economic dimension, in particular those which promote income-generating activities, self-employment and support and support for young people.
The minister also called for achieving spatial justice by paying more attention to the rehabilitation of infrastructure, carrying out projects on time and supporting citizen initiatives, according to a participatory approach based on interaction with the concerns of citizens.
He stressed that security challenges remain, requiring continued vigilance and mobilization to thwart all attempts to compromise the security of citizens.
The minister also congratulated the former worker of Midelt province, Mustafa Al-Nouhi, for the work he accomplished and for the royal trust he received as the new worker of Skhirat-Temara prefecture .
The inauguration ceremony of the new worker in the Midelt region took place in the presence of the governor of the Draa-Tafilalet region, the governor of the Errachidia region, Saïd Zniber, the president of the Draa-Tafilalet regional council, Hiro Abreu, members of the judiciary, heads of foreign ministries, elected councils and representatives of civil society associations.

Abdel Wahab Fadel, appointed by His Majesty King Mohammed VI governor of the province of Midelt, was born on June 9, 1963 in Rabat. He has a law degree and a diploma from the Royal Institute of Territorial Administration (1988-1990). ).
Fadel began his career as a civil service recruiter within the central administration of the Ministry of the Interior in 1988, before joining the regular corps of the Royal Institute of Territorial Administration that same year.
On October 7, 1990, he was appointed Commander in the province of Sidi Kacem, then he was promoted to the position of pasha in the province of Kelaa de Sraghna in 2001, before being transferred in the same capacity to the prefecture of Skhirat-Temara in 2007.
He was also promoted to secretary general of the province of Rehamna in 2010, then held the same functions in the province of Fkih Ben Salah in 2014, then in the province of Moulay Yacoub on August 1, 2019.
Since April 2, 2020, Fadel has been entrusted with the functions of interim governor of the Moulay Yacoub province.
Abdel Wahab Fadel enjoyed the supreme trust of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, which is why His Majesty appointed him governor of the Midelt region, effective October 18, 2024.
