The elements of the National Security at the Regional Police Commissariat in the city of Ksar El Kebir managed, on Thursday, March 19th, to arrest a 33-year-old person with a criminal record who was the subject of a case related to violence against ascendants, on suspicion of his involvement in attempted premeditated murder and assault with a white weapon.
According to preliminary information from the investigation, the suspect subjected three victims from his neighbors to a serious physical assault with a white weapon, without justification or known motives, including a young girl who sustained serious injuries and whose health condition is critical. During the attempt to apprehend the suspect and neutralize the danger emanating from him, a police officer was injured before the person in question was arrested and two white weapons he used in carrying out these criminal acts were seized. The suspect has been held under custody on the basis of the judicial investigation being conducted under the supervision of the competent Public Prosecution, in order to reveal all the circumstances, facts and backgrounds of committing these criminal acts.
