At the end of the selection by a local and international jury, of the 100 winners of the Startupper Challenge of the Year, in the 32 participating countries, the local winners of this special edition organized on the occasion of the centenary of the Company, were distinguished during an official awards ceremony held on October 31, 2024 at Onomo Hotel City Center.
The 3 local winners of the Startupper of the Year Challenge in Morocco are:
Abdelillah HAMMADA in the “Innov’Up” category, for the best entrepreneur with Alguno which is an innovative startup that converts marine algae into biostimulating fertilizers, offering a sustainable solution to enrich soil and reduce pollution chemical fertilizers; H’nia HARRAS in the “Cycle’Up” category for the best project concerning the circular economy with EcoBin Reward which is an intelligent trash can that sorts waste automatically with AI and offers an incentive mobile application to exchange points, promoting thus recycling; Youssef Adbib in the “Power’Up” category for the best project concerning sustainable and affordable energy with ReBean which recycles coffee grounds into ecological products such as charcoal, fertilizers, cleaning solutions and beauty items, promoting circular economy and reducing waste.
To help them develop their project, these young entrepreneurs will receive a significant financial grant. They will also benefit from personalized support from French Tech and local visibility to make it known.
In Morocco, more than 1,000 registrations including 243 complete files were submitted and 13 finalists were able to present their project to the local jury of experts.
