The Basaer Association of the Blind and their friends from the city of Settat organized a march simulating the victorious Green March, starting from the Al Nour Center for Care of the Deaf and Visually Impaired, waving flags and chanting national slogans to commemorate this precious memory . .
This national march, which saw the presence of law enforcement and local authorities and was followed by certain media, left from the door of the said center and its organizers covered the perimeter of the Settat prefecture on foot until to reach its main door. What set it apart was the participation of blind people of all categories, as well as some young children and their families.
According to a speech by the president of the association, this approach essentially aims to shed light on this national epic, by defining and teaching rising generations the values of true citizenship, and by reminding them of the events and sacrifices which accompanied the Green March with the aim of consecrating the values of national unity and solidarity.
