Because of the “Morocco map”, the Algerian authorities are holding back Berkane’s Renaissance team.

The mission of the Berkane Renaissance club took off this Friday, April 19 to Algeria to face the Union Sportive de la Médina d’Algiers in the first leg of the semi-finals of the Coupe de la African Confederation.
In a chartered flight directly from Oujda-Angads airport at 10 a.m., the team is expected to arrive at Algiers Houari Boumediene airport around 11:15 a.m.
Upon their arrival at Houari Boumediene airport in Algiers, the Berkane Renaissance team was detained by the Algerian authorities because of the map on the team’s jersey, and so far, they have not did not allow them to pass, causing astonishment for such unsporting behavior and an unacceptable tightening between political and sporting affairs, in violation of FIFA and CAF laws.
