Algerian journalist and political activist Saeed Bensedira, in a live broadcast on his social media page this Saturday evening, accused his country’s military leaders of corruption, stressing that the generals in charge of the army are “corrupt generals and rich.” and describes them as “cabarnets of good pigeons”, describing one of them as “the cowardly and contemptible general”.

Bensedira added that one of the generals is using madmen to attack the honorable people of the nation, while the military leaders seek to cover up the corrupt records that condemn them.

Accusing the former army chief of weakness and failure

Bensedira stressed that the beginning of corruption within the military institution dates back to 2005, when General Mohamed El Amari submitted his resignation after refusing to work with the late President Abdelaziz Bouteflika.

Bensedira explained that after that, General Ahmed Gaïd Salah took over the leadership of the army, which he described as “weak and a failure”, noting that Gaïd Salah was not known in the military field, which opened the door to unqualified people. management positions.
Bensedira said Gaid Salah did not participate in any battles other than his defeat in a battle with Morocco, and that he left his soldiers detained and fled.

Demand investigation into Shangriha corruption

Bensedira added that there are popular demands on social media platforms demanding the dismissal of the current army commander, General Saeed Chengriha, due to rampant corruption within the military institution under his leadership .
Bensedira said he was ready to reveal corruption files linked to Chengriha if he found them, calling for those responsible to be held accountable for covering up the files.

Mutual accusations between Bensedira and Algerians

Despite escalating accusations against military leaders, a number of Algerians have accused Bensedira of collaborating and covering up Chengriha’s corruption, noting that he refuses to tell the truth and defends military leaders and intelligence.

An Algerian commented on Bensedira’s live broadcast by declaring: “The military institution is corrupt and the President of the Republic must assume his responsibility in the fight against corruption. » The military establishment led by General Said Chengriha is more corrupt and he and his family control the army.

As part of his presentation on Algeria’s internal problems, Bensedira accused Morocco of being involved in these affairs, accusations that Algerians consider false and an attempt to escape the truth and cover up corruption widespread within the military institution.
