HIBAPRESS – Italy: Abdelatif El Baz
Moroccan runner Badr Eddine El Bassri was crowned the Italian Youth Championship title in the 2000-meter race, after covering the distance in a time of 5 minutes and 36.80 seconds, during the competitions hosted by the city of Agropoli on October 3rd, deciding the race in the last 300 meters.
This achievement came just a few months after El Bassri's arrival in the Italian city of Fraselle, where he trains daily within the club "Atletica Fraselle 78," following his victory in the regional championship in Turin, before succeeding in surpassing his top national competitors.
In celebration of this coronation, the Fraselle municipal council honored the Moroccan runner in the presence of the city's mayor, Roberto Scheda, and sports officials. They praised his efforts and the role of his family, coaches, and club in supporting his journey, emphasizing the importance of supporting young talents and providing suitable conditions for developing their athletic abilities.
