Rabat International Marathon: the real winner, the city of lights, its historic sites and a mosaic public

Under the High Patronage of HM King Mohammed VI and in the presence of high-ranking personalities including Mr. Ahizoun, the godfather of this major event, Wali El Yaacoubi, the Prefect of Police Moufid… The seventh edition of the Rabat International Marathon, which held yesterday Sunday in Rabat, kept all its promises. Athletes from the four corners of the world offered an exceptional show to the spectators, who came in too many numbers.

In the Women’s category, Rahma Tahiri won in 2h25’30″. She is ahead of her compatriot Kaoutar Farkoussi, 2nd in 2h25’35″ and the Ethiopian Naga Asimaraech, 3rd in 2h26’55″.

On the Men’s side, Robert Kwambai won the race in 2h09’06″. He precedes the Ethiopian Alemu Kokeb Tesfaye, who ranked second with a time of 2h09’25″ and the Moroccan Mustapha Houdadi, who completed the podium by crossing the finish line in 2h09’51″.

This seventh edition of the Rabat International Marathon was marked by a record participation, a marvelous course, with runners representing 64 countries. The event also highlighted the cultural and historical riches of the capital of Morocco.
