Fencing/From full Algiers, Moroccan Youssra ZAKARANI qualified for the Paris 2024 Olympic Games

Champion Youssra ZAKARANI qualified for the Paris 2024 Olympic Games in fencing in the foil event following her first place obtained during the African Olympic qualifying tournament which took place on April 27, 2024 in Algiers
This is the Moroccan fencer’s second qualification for the Olympic Games after Rio 2016.
The 29-year-old Moroccan champion got the better of the Senegalese Coly Safietou Inna Namiya in the final with a score of (15-7).
Moroccan fencing will also be represented during the Paris 2024 Olympic Games by Houssam EL KORD in the epee event.
To date, Morocco has qualified for the Paris 2024 Olympic Games in 13 sports: athletics, rowing, boxing, breakdancing, canoeing, cycling, fencing, football, wrestling, surfing, taekwondo, sports shooting and equestrian sports.
