A new air route connects Gran Canaria to Ouarzazate and Tangier during the summer season

Morocco continues to open up to several destinations to attract its tourists, as part of the Kingdom’s strategy for the year 2030 aimed at attracting a greater number of visitors. In this regard, the airline Binter Canarias, in partnership with the Moroccan National Tourism Office, will launch from next July a new airline linking Gran Canaria to Ouarzazate during the 2024 summer season.

The Moroccan National Tourism Office underlined in a press release that “after having previously programmed the cities of Essaouira and Tangier, it is now the turn of Ouarzazate to be connected to the archipelago, thus offering new opportunities for the southern destination and its surroundings rich in natural, architectural and cultural wonders. From next July, Ouarzazate airport will be connected once a week to Las Palmas. »

The same source indicated that this air connection is the result of a collaboration between the company Binter Canarias and the Moroccan National Tourism Office, which together continue to develop other air routes connecting the Canary Islands to different regions of the Kingdom of Morocco.

Alongside this event, a joint communication and promotion campaign is planned to accompany the launch of this new air link in order to stimulate tourists from the Canary Islands to travel to discover the region’s tourist assets and enjoy a travel experience unique.

On the other hand, the flagship destination of Tangier will be strengthened by enriching its program from July by including an additional flight from the Binter company, thus increasing to two flights per week, on Wednesdays and Saturdays. This new connection should offer new travel opportunities and short, relaxing stays.
