Border control measures initiated by the National Security Services at the port of Tangier, on the afternoon of Sunday, May 12, made it possible to foil an attempted international smuggling of 4,750 tablets of narcotics of various types.

This security operation led to the seizure of quantities of contraband drugs from a 49-year-old Spanish citizen, immediately after her arrival on a cruise from a European port.

The suspect was the subject of a judicial investigation, carried out under the supervision of the competent public prosecutor’s office, in order to discover all the people involved in this case, as well as to identify the rest of the alleged national and international extensions of this criminal case . activity.

This case takes place in the context of intensive and continuous security operations carried out by various services of the General Directorate of National Security, with the aim of combating international trafficking in narcotics and psychotropic substances.
