This season marks the 21st edition of the competition and, with each season, exciting memories of African club football continue to be etched into the rich history books of African football – with this edition set to continue the legacy.

The second leg is scheduled for the Cairo International Stadium, when Zamalek play the hosts on Sunday, May 19 at 7:00 p.m. local time (5:00 p.m. GMT).

Both RS Berkane and Zamalek emerged as the competition’s favorites after finishing top of their respective groups without a single defeat until the final.

While the Moroccans have enjoyed more success in the TotalEnergies CAF Confederation Cup than their Egyptian counterparts, with two wins and one defeat in the final, Zamalek have proven themselves in the competition and will certainly look to repeat their 2019 success over the Moroccans to end what could be a five-year drought for the White Knights.
