In the streets and squares of Taza, unhappy scenes are obvious with negligence and the absence of a sense of responsibility. The broken garden lamps, stolen or broken public chairs, and signs of change have distorted their characteristics, as if these installations, which have proven to be used, have become vulnerable to the hands of sabotage without responsibility or censorship.
Unfortunately, this phenomenon does not stop during the rupture of the chairs or the flight of the garden equipment, but rather extends to the uprooting of the trees, random writings on the walls and the deformation of the squares which have drained huge budgets in order to rehabilitate them. The arenas which were supposed to be a outlet for families and children turned, due to this absurdity, in deserted or hot places of chaos and cries.
Many people from Taza ask: What pushes some people to destroy what originally belonging to everyone? Is it the lack of conscience? Or a feeling of frustration and marginalization? Or simply, the absence of censorship and dissuastic sanctions? Regardless of the number of causes, sabotage remains a deviant behavior that reflects a crisis of value that requires radical solutions.
If there is no urgent action, we will find the city of Taza in front of the cities gradually losing its aesthetic characteristics, and in which absurdity becomes a base instead of the exception. Do we leave exacerbated things, or do we move to save the rest?
