As part of the activities of the Arab Cinema Center at the 77th edition of the Cannes Film Festival, the Arab Cinema Center launched the new edition of the list of the 101 most influential personalities of Arab cinema, which celebrates the people and institutions who have had an impact on the Arab film industry over the past year.

The list of 101 most influential figures in Arab cinema is published annually by the Center for Arab Cinema and includes self-represented individuals and organizations, selected on the basis of their activities, successes and careers. the extent of their work in the Arab film industry over the past 12 months.

The list includes 13 directors, 16 producers, 14 actors, 5 artists behind the camera, 18 distributors from 12 organizations, 12 heads of 10 government film institutions, 11 heads of 7 VOD platforms, 11 heads of 7 festivals and 7 heads of institutions financing.

The Egyptian list includes stars Yousra, Mona Zaki and Ahmed Malek, filmmakers Hany Khalifa, Mourad Mostafa and Peter Mimi, producers Mohamed Hefzy, Shahinaz El Akkad and Sawsan Youssef, musician Khaled El Kammar, editor Ahmed Hafez, director of Photography Mostafa El Kashef, Ashraf Salman, CEO of United Media Services, and Nashwa Gad El-Haq, Managing Director of WATCH IT.

Morocco’s list includes director Asmaa El Medeir, director and producer Khalil Benkirane and Abdelaziz Bouzdaini, director of the Moroccan Cinematographic Center.
