World Cup 2030: Morocco, determined to provide transport services up to par

Morocco is determined to carry out all projects linked to the organization by the Kingdom alongside Spain and Portugal of the 2030 Football World Cup, in order to offer transport and mobility services at the height of this major global event, assured, Friday in Rabat, the Minister of Transport and Logistics, Mohamed Abdeljalil.
In accordance with the High Guidelines of King Mohammed VI, “Morocco is obviously committed to making all the necessary investments so that transport services meet expectations,” Mr. Abdeljalil told the press shortly before a meeting held between the Ministry of Transport and Logistics and the Royal Moroccan Football Federation (FRMF), represented by its president Fouzi Lekjaa.
This meeting was held in the presence of the Chairman and CEO of Royal Air Maroc, Abdelhamid Addou, the Director General of the National Railway Office, Mohamed Rabie Khlie, and the Director General of the National Airports Office , Habiba Laklalech.
Mr. Abdeljalil specified in this sense that this meeting is an opportunity to look at “the final touches” to be made to the candidacy file for the 2030 World Cup in terms of transport and mobility.
An extended meeting was held on May 2 at the headquarters of the Ministry of the Interior, as part of the intense preparations for the organization of the 2030 World Cup, in accordance with the Royal Vision and Will carrying a strong ambition to ensure a great success of this international event.
The Minister of the Interior, the Minister of Equipment and Water, the Minister of National Education, Preschool and Sports, the Minister of National Territorial Planning, took part in this meeting, of Urban Planning, Housing and Urban Policy, the Minister of Tourism, Crafts and the Social and Solidarity Economy, the Minister of Transport and Logistics and the Minister Delegate in charge of the Budget .
This meeting was devoted in particular to coordination between all the ministerial departments concerned, to the establishment of a unified system of common action and to the implementation of an integrated roadmap, based on execution appropriate commitments, the convergence of initiatives and interventions and the harmonization of their programming, within the framework of the complementarity of the roles of the different stakeholders, so as to guarantee the necessary conditions and means allowing the Kingdom to succeed in the challenge of co-organization with Spain and Portugal of this global sporting event.
