French authorities have mentioned that the perpetrator of the attack on a train in Lyon is a 27-year-old young man of Moroccan origin.
Local state official Fabienne Buccio told reporters that the attacker lives legally in France, but suffers from serious mental health problems and has already been treated in psychiatric wards on several occasions.
She added that no religious or political motivation was shown during the attack.
