Siam is now asserting itself as a platform for exchange and communication around vision and agricultural development strategy in our country. It allows national and international actors to meet, establish partnerships and strengthen cooperation in a spirit of innovation and sharing, as indicated by the Minister in his declaration during this visit. The Minister insisted on the vocation of the show to highlight the developments and challenges of the sector, and to encourage sustainable practices, while giving priority to the farmer and to the rural world.
For his part, Mohamed Fikrat, president of the Siam association, recalled that the show has known, in 17 editions, to establish itself as a major reference among the agricultural events on the continent. Recognized internationally, this platform now attracts an ever -largest audience, whether visitors or exhibitors.
Organized each year in Meknes under the high patronage of King Mohammed VI, Siam has established itself as one of the greatest agricultural events in Africa and the Middle East. The 2025 edition will take place from April 21 to 27, under the theme “Agriculture and rural world: water at the heart of sustainable development”.
France, guest of honor of this year, symbolizes a solid bilateral relationship, in particular in the fields of agriculture, agrifood, maritime fishing and forests. This cooperation, based on exchanges of know-how and a shared vision of sustainable development, opens up promising prospects for the two countries.
Good water governance, a central issue in this edition, will be at the heart of the scientific exchanges expected at the show. The debates will focus on concrete solutions allowing the agricultural sector to adapt to the effects of climate change, guarantee the sustainability of water resources and preserve an environmental balance in the rural environment.
This edition will experience the organization of more than 40 scientific conferences, the participation of 70 countries and 1,500 exhibitors. More than a million visitors are expected.
Among the new features of this edition are a new distribution of thematic poles to streamline the routes, the installation of fun spaces, as well as the introduction of the electronic ticketing to facilitate access to the site. The “local products” pole has also been redesigned and widened, in order to better value local agricultural productions and highlight the work of cooperatives.
