the 6th Edition of the Conference of Public Finance Institutes (CIFP) under the theme “Research and Managerial Innovation in Public Finance Management”

The Ministry of Economy and Finance has just organized the 6th Edition of the Conference of Public Finance Institutes (CIFP) under the theme “Research and Managerial Innovation in Public Finance Management”, in partnership with the Moroccan Agency for International Cooperation, the Islamic Bank for Development and Expertise France.
It should be remembered that this network is made up of 33 countries from Africa, the Middle East and the Caribbean. Created in Marrakech in November 2017, it aims to establish a platform for sharing, synergy, cooperation and intercultural dialogue allowing the strengthening of the capacities of stakeholders in the governance of public finances.
This International Conference was attended by the directors general of the Public Finance Institutes of the member countries of the said network, representatives of ministerial departments, donors as well as experts and training professionals from different countries.
This annual meeting was a favorable opportunity for debate, reflection, sharing of experiences and expertise between Morocco and the member countries of the Network of Institutes of Public Finance in innovative and effective practices in financial management. in order to optimize the use of resources and contribute to sustainable socio-economic development.
The work of the meeting was organized in Rabat according to the following axes:
AREA 1: Research in public finance: a permanent evolution and a challenge of coordination and governance.
AXIS 2: Managerial innovation in public finances: discovering the issues, challenges and inspiring and sustainable practices.
The first panel of the conference highlighted research in public finance, thus enriching the debate on recent research and studies in public finance, areas of research related to public finance, evaluation of the impact of research on public finances, and research funding conditions, policies and issues.
The interventions of the second panel, focused on managerial innovation in public finance management, delved deeper into the theme by addressing the issues, constraints and managerial practices linked to innovation.
On the sidelines of the conference, the network of Public Finance Institutes of African, Middle Eastern and Caribbean countries (RESIFIP), held its General Assembly and a workshop on the promotion of internal trainers.
