Russia says it repelled incursions into its territory from Ukraine

Russia announced on Tuesday that its army prevented several attempted incursions from Ukraine into the border regions of Belgorod and Kursk.
“This morning, units of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, together with units of the border service of the FSB (Federal Security Service of Russia), prevented a Ukrainian attempt to enter the territory of the Russian Federation in the Belgorod and Kursk regions,” the Russian Defense Ministry announced in a statement.
According to the department, around 3 a.m. Moscow time, Ukrainian fighters attempted to simultaneously invade three villages in the Belgorod region, namely Odonorobovka, Nekhoteevka and Spodariushino, after intense shelling of civilian targets.
“All attacks by the Ukrainian armed forces were repelled,” the statement said, noting that there were “no border violations.”
And the ministry clarified that between 8:00 a.m. and 8:25 a.m. (HL), four attacks by Ukrainian commando groups trying to penetrate the border territory near Tetkino, in the Kursk region, were repelled; adding that “there have been no violations of the state border.”
