Heba Press – Abdul Latif Baraka
Although the morning of Eid this year has come out of the voices of the enlargement accompanying the sounds of sacrifices, joy has not faufilled outside the houses, but rather found a new entry through the doors of the family and relatives.
In a scene that seemed different from what people before, the arenas were free from the slaughter scenes, and the absence of the ritual of sacrifice for reasons which were imposed by convincing conditions this year, whether economic or organizational, have thrown the shadow on the rituals of the party. However, Moroccan society has not allowed sadness to infiltrate, but rather to reformulate its joys with a spirit of family proximity and the social interconnection which distinguishes it.
Visit parents … the best weather
Since the end of the prayer of Eid, which was filled with squares in the different regions of the kingdom, with an enlargement and acclamations, the citizens have gone by groups and individuals in parents’ houses, the scene was remarkable, because the streets of the neighborhoods seemed to breathe love, and the doors of homes are open to receive embracing and laughter.
Ms. Umm Ibrahim, who is Jeddah at the age of the seventy, said: “We did not massacre this EID”, but thank God, they gathered the newborn and my grandchildren are all under the same roof. It’s the real party. “”
In another house, the votes of children were laughing, heading for peace on neighbors, and they are the first to receive guests, while the elderly exchanged festivals and cups of Moroccan tea and candy of all kinds, as if they compensate for the symbolic absence of sacrifice in a greater moral presence: the uterus link.
– eid with our souls before our rituals
Although the massacre is one of the main rituals of Eid, this year has proven that the party does not stop in a single time, but rather a social and spiritual situation, you find its meaning in simple details: visit, shake hands, invitation or even smile at the threshold of a house.
At the end of the day, people exchange their family photos on social networks, accompanied by sentences such as “your tubes, blessed” and “each party and you have a thousand good”.
Joy is renewed
Thus, life has proven again that circumstances can change appearances, but they are not reinforced to extract the meaning.
