The French newspaper “L’Equipe” revealed that Mahdi Benatia, the sports director of the Olympic club Marseille, is looking to sign Moroccan defender Nayef Akard, West Ham United player, during the following summer transfer window.
A solid relationship between the two parties
The newspaper stressed that the strong relationship that had brought together Benatia in Akd, since he was the first to occupy the task of his agent, strengthens the opportunities to conclude the agreement, noting that Benatia had already tried to bring the player to the ranks of Italian Milan in 2022.
Interest of other clubs
AKD is the attention of several European clubs, including Juventus and Sociedad, which played in its ranks loaned until June 30, before returning to West Ham, with which it is linked to a contract which extends until the summer of 2027.
Although the Marseille administration achieves the cost of the high agreement, whether in terms of the value of the contract or the annual salary, the club still maintains dignity in the list of its defensive options for this summer.
