Former Moroccan international Youssef Chibo denied, on Sunday, the news circulating regarding the suspension of sports commentator Jawad Bada, after he described the former Cameroonian player as a "legend" during his commentary on the match between the Moroccan national team and the "Indomitable Lions."
Chibo clarified, in a video clip he posted on social media, that the news of Bada's suspension is unfounded, confirming that the person in question will continue his duties as usual, by commenting on the matches of the Moroccan national team. The speaker confirmed that Jawad Bada is the official commentator for the matches of the Moroccan national team, and he will be present to comment on the semi-final match of the African Cup of Nations, in addition to the final match if the Atlas Lions qualify. Algerian activists had launched a campaign on social media to stop the Moroccan commentator Jawad Bada, after he described the Cameroonian player who scored the killer goal in the net of the Algerian national team during the decisive match qualifying for the 2022 World Cup in Qatar, Toko Ekambi, as a "legend."
