Following her outstanding performance in the TV series “Ana Hurra,” which tackles the suffering of women in a marital relationship with a narcissistic partner, Moroccan actress Karima Gheit opened a dialogue with her audience on social media platforms.
Gheit expressed her deep emotion after receiving numerous messages from women sharing personal experiences similar to those depicted in the drama. In a humanitarian gesture that received widespread interaction, the actress enabled the option to receive messages via Instagram stories, affirming her readiness to listen to and respond to these stories, writing directly: “I’m listening to you.”
The series, in which Gheit portrays “Nour,” a woman trying to break free from the dominance of a controlling husband, sparked a societal discussion about toxic relationships and the danger of narcissistic personalities in marital life.
Karima Gheit’s initiative was considered an example of the positive role that artists can play, not only through acting, but also through genuine community engagement that contributes to awareness and support.
