Residents of Bni Ansar have expressed significant relief following the recent dismantling of a motorcycle theft ring operating between the municipalities of Bni Ansar and Bni Chiker. The increasing frequency of these criminal activities had caused considerable anxiety among citizens, who had been hoping for decisive action from the authorities.
Hiba Press sources explained that the security operation was launched immediately following numerous complaints from victims. This prompted the judicial police to open a comprehensive investigation in coordination with the public prosecutor’s office. Thanks to meticulous field investigations, security forces were able to track the network and identify the suspects. A raid on the suspects’ homes resulted in the arrest of three individuals and the recovery of several stolen motorcycles and parts ready for sale. Witnesses to the intervention noted that the action has “restored their confidence in the security forces,” particularly as some victims were present when their stolen property was recovered. This successful security operation comes at a time when motorcycle thefts have been on the rise in the region, leading residents to call for increased patrols and tighter surveillance. Such proactive operations are essential to alleviate fears and enhance the feeling of security in affected neighborhoods.
