Younes Aftit, journalist and publishing director of the website “Biladna24”, revealed details of his questioning by security services on Thursday.
Aftit told Hiba Press: “This morning, a team from the judicial police in Mohammedia came to my house and asked me to accompany them to the judicial police headquarters. I was then questioned by the national judicial police regarding the protests of the 27th and 28th against health and education. When asked if I was promoting or inciting these protests, I denied it completely and categorically. I affirmed that I am a professional journalist covering events and reporting news, and that I do not promote any particular side. The questioning concluded, and I was released.”
Earlier on Thursday morning, police officers had arrested journalist Younes Aftit from his home in Mohammedia before releasing him after questioning.
