American President Donald Trump said that peace will be achieved in Gaza soon, just before a decisive meeting with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, which is currently taking place at the White House.
Trump and Netanyahu will participate in a private lunch at noon Eastern Time in the United States, followed by a joint press conference.
President Donald Trump said before the meeting that he was very optimistic about the possibility of achieving peace in Gaza soon.
Trump's statements came after an exchange of pleasantries with Netanyahu in the main hall of the White House.
When Trump expressed his confidence in the possibility of reaching an agreement that would end the war in Gaza and guarantee the release of the remaining prisoners, Netanyahu was "smiling".
Netanyahu did not answer when asked whether he agreed to this agreement or not.
This visit is the fourth that Netanyahu has made to the White House since the beginning of Trump's second term.
