Elements of the Royal Gendarmerie in Kaliâa, administratively under Inezgane Ait Melloul, fired shots this Wednesday evening to prevent "masked men" from storming the gendarmerie center during a protest as part of a series of movements called for by the "Generation Z" movement.
Initial data indicated that the shooting resulted in the injury of two people who were transferred to the hospital to receive the necessary medical care, while security forces intervened to restore order to the area and contain the security unrest that Kaliâa witnessed. These events come as part of a wave of protests taking place in some Moroccan cities, where some young people deviated from the peaceful nature of the marches, which necessitated the intervention of the security authorities to avoid further losses and ensure the safety of citizens.
