HIBAPRESS – Georgia
Moroccan champion Ghita Chafiq, previously crowned African champion in Jiu-Jitsu, signed a distinguished participation in the amateur World Mixed Martial Arts Championship, which was held this year in the Georgian capital Tbilisi between September 26 and October 5, 2025, as part of the International Brave Combat Week events.

Chafiq began her journey in the championship with a deserved victory over the American fighter Lehua Sodaria, where she delivered a strong performance that enabled her to advance to the next round. However, her journey stopped in the second bout against the Polish Paulina Konik, due to a technical error that gave her the victory, knowing that the Moroccan champion was ahead in the match.

Despite being eliminated in this round, Ghita Chafiq embodied the image of the ambitious Moroccan fighter, who proves her presence on the world stage in one of the most difficult and strongest combat sports, where she came into contact with a select group of fighters from different countries, within a championship that witnesses the wide participation of international teams.

This appearance confirms that the sport of mixed martial arts in Morocco knows a new generation of promising champions who are able to compete and honor the national flag in international forums.
