HIBAPRESS – Casablanca
The National Brigade of Judicial Police continues its field operations to arrest those involved in the riots and vandalism that affected a number of Moroccan cities in recent days.
Scientific and technical police teams began to lift and analyze fingerprints on the spot in a number of banks and institutions that were stormed, while elements of the judicial police worked to empty the contents of surveillance cameras belonging to institutions, commercial stores, and main streets to identify suspects.
The security operation, which is being carried out in coordination with the General Intelligence services, has made it possible to reach a list of names of a number of those involved, including masked individuals who appeared in video recordings as they stormed public and private institutions and carried out acts of sabotage and looting.
As of this hour, a number of people have been arrested after their whereabouts were precisely identified, while national search warrants have been issued against others who are still at large.
Security sources confirmed that investigations are continuing and that the operation will continue until all those involved in these events are arrested, stressing that the authorities are determined to impose public order and firmly apply the law to anyone involved in threatening the security of citizens and undermining public and private property.
