HIBAPRESS – Chafiq Anouri
Security sources in occupied Ceuta refuted, today Friday, rumors about the closure of border crossings with Morocco due to the protests taking place in the country.
Spanish security sources, according to the "Teleceuta" website, confirmed that the crossings will continue to operate normally and under the same conditions in place since their reopening after the "Corona" pandemic. The same website stated that the Civil Guard or the National Police had not received any instructions or warnings regarding the possible closure of the border crossing, despite the recent events in Morocco. The same website added that sources from both security agencies surveyed confirmed that there is no immediate plan for closure, even at the preventative level. The source mentioned that social media and instant messaging applications had seen the spread of rumors about the alleged closure of crossings without relying on official sources. It is worth noting that a number of Moroccan cities have witnessed protests since last Saturday, demanding reforms in the education and health sectors, and the fall of corruption.
