The Director-General of National Security and Territorial Surveillance, Abdellatif Hammouchi, issued a decision granting an exceptional promotion to two police officers, one formerly a security guard at the General Directorate of Public Security, and the other a distinguished police inspector working in the security directorate of Fez, in appreciation of their great sacrifices and in recognition of their high professional sense.
A statement from the directorate explained that the first officer passed away following a fatal traffic accident immediately after finishing his regular work shift, while the second officer sustained serious head injuries after a drunk driver deliberately collided with him and refused to comply with orders. By virtue of this decision, the competent central departments were tasked with documenting the exceptional promotion to the ranks of "police officer" and "police inspector" in their professional records, while taking the necessary administrative measures to arrange all legal and material effects for the benefit of those concerned and their families. The Director-General of National Security also directed the provision of condolences to the family of the deceased police officer, along with providing social and health support to the families of the two officers, in a humanitarian initiative that reflects the General Directorate's care for its cadres and its keenness to preserve their dignity and recognize their sacrifices for the sake of protecting the security of the nation and the safety of citizens. This gesture comes to embody the official recognition of the sacrifices of the men and women of the National Security, who do not hesitate to perform their duties despite the dangers that threaten their lives.
