In accordance with royal directives aimed at improving the quality of consular services for the benefit of Moroccans around the world, the Moroccan Consulate in Naples, headed by Consul General Mohamed Khalil, organized a mobile consulate in the Latiano district in the Brindisi region. in southern Italy.

On this occasion, personal documents were handed over, such as biometric passports, electronic national identity cards and judicial certificates. In a statement to Hiba Press, Mohamed Khalil, consul general in Naples, indicated that this itinerant consulate intervenes in application of royal directives, and is part of the approach of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation and Moroccans residing abroad aiming to bring consular and administrative services closer to members of the Moroccan community residing abroad.

The diplomatic official added that this initiative “included the handing over of passports and the national card”, stressing that “it took place in very good conditions and in accordance with the established program, thanks to the response of the accompanying persons to the organization set up by the Consulate General, as well as thanks to the cooperation of the Victoire Association, the municipality of Latiano and a certain number of “associative actors who contributed to making this process a success”. This itinerant consulate, organized thanks to the mobilization of the collective fabric active in this region in particular, was the occasion during which the Consul General Mohamed Khalil held a meeting with the members of these associations to inform them of the measures implemented. placed by the Ministry responsible for providing local consular services to the Moroccan community abroad.

This consular move also represented an opportunity to exchange ideas and identify the most important concerns of the Moroccan community in the province of Latiano and neighboring provinces, and to review the structural reforms undertaken by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation and Moroccans residing abroad with the objective of raising the quality of consular services for the benefit of the Moroccan community, in accordance with the directives of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, by simplifying administrative procedures , adopting digitalization and the appointment system, as well as bringing the administration closer together. to members of the community.

The diplomatic official also highlighted the latest developments in the national cause, appreciating, in this context, the heroic positions of the Moroccan community which spares no effort to defend the national cause. This operation was welcomed and widely praised by all members of the Moroccan community, who expressed their immense happiness and great appreciation for this initiative, which spared them the trouble of traveling to Naples and benefiting from these various consular services. , at a time when a large number of Moroccans are preparing to prepare for summer vacations in the country.
