Citizens and travelers have complained about the delay of a GNV flight scheduled for Saturday evening, from the port of Genoa to Barcelona and the capital of Bugas, Tanger Med.
According to what Heba Press inspected and received on site, the ship which was to operate flight no. belonged to the GNV company, although it was to take off from the port of Genoa at precisely five o’clock in the evening, before the passengers on board be surprised to learn that it would be postponed to one hour and forty-five minutes.
Moroccans residing in Italy denounced the repeated cancellations and delays of their cruises through the maritime transport company “GNV”, which made them bear additional expenses, such as accommodation, and the purchase of other tickets at exorbitant prices.
AM said: “Many Moroccans residing in Italy found themselves in the middle of mistreatment and a difficult situation, after the cancellation of their cruises by the aforementioned Italian company.”
The spokesperson added to Heba Press that “cancellations and delays have affected many ports, whether in Barcelona, Tangier or elsewhere”, explaining that “every year the same problem repeats itself, and Moroccans of Italy suffers every time.” This situation has caused confusion in the plans of many Moroccans in Italy, as a Moroccan traveler said in a statement to Heba Press, indicating that the said company canceled her flight for the fifth time, and that she does not know the reason for the delay.
The same spokesperson explained, without revealing her identity, that “travelers are stuck in Spanish ports without official intervention or authorities telling them what measures can be taken.”
These sudden delays and cancellations have triggered a state of chaos within the Moroccan community in Italy, particularly with regard to planning their vacations and their families’ visit schedules to Morocco.
GNV has not provided any satisfactory solution other than refunding the ticket prices, a process that takes an entire month, making it unnecessary since the community could be back from vacation by then.
