HIBAPRESS – Rabat
The Minister Delegate in charge of Relations with Parliament and the Official Government Spokesperson, Mustapha Baytas, confirmed that the government has responsibly engaged with various youth expressions that have emerged recently, stressing that the demands of the youth expressions are not new, but are related to essential social sectors such as health and education, which the government has made a top priority since the beginning of its term.
Baytas explained, during his appearance on Al Arabiya channel on Monday evening, that these sectors have experienced long-standing accumulations since independence, which makes the appearance of reform results take longer. He highlighted that what has been achieved in recent years reflects a qualitative shift, citing the increase in the health sector budget from about 20 billion dirhams in 2020 to more than 32 billion dirhams in 2025, in addition to the establishment of new medical colleges and the construction of university hospitals in various regions, as well as reform projects in progress. The speaker stressed that reform is a cumulative process that requires time and patience, noting that the government is working according to precise and well-defined programs to improve governance and develop the health infrastructure, while seeking to accelerate the pace of reform to keep pace with the dynamism that the country is experiencing in multiple areas. Regarding the legislative entitlements expected in 2026, Baytas highlighted that Morocco is a democratic country governed by political contracts based on the constitution, pointing out that the current government has been trusted by parliament based on a clear government program that it is gradually implementing. He considered that the mid-term results show tangible progress in several projects, despite the existence of structural challenges that cannot be overcome in a short time due to the cost and reform time required.
