This Tuesday morning witnessed the ordinary session of the communal council for the month of October in Marrakech, chaired by Fatima Zahra Al-Mansouri, with a group of residents of Bin Al-Qashali storming the meeting hall in protest against a series of unresolved issues such as compensation related to the development, displacement, and restructuring process.
The incident prompted Mayor Al-Mansouri to leave the session to open a dialogue with the residents' representatives, where the Mayor received a group of citizens, who expressed their rejection of the displacement decision towards the Al-Azouzia area. They received promises from Mayor Al-Mansouri, and their file was transferred to the concerned authorities to find urgent, just, and equitable solutions.
