Egyptian TikToker, Youssef Shalash, died after being shot during a violent fight that broke out in a street in the Matareya area of Cairo.
Security sources reported that during a renewal of old disputes between conflicting parties, a fight broke out in the street, during which one of the suspects fired shots targeting Youssef Shalash's brother, but one of the bullets hit Youssef by mistake, which led to his fall, soaked in his blood in the middle of the road. The victim was transferred to the hospital in critical condition and underwent an urgent surgical operation, but the doctors could not save him, and he passed away as a result of his injury. Photos and video clips commemorating the deceased spread on social media, especially Facebook, with mourning comments from his followers and friends, accompanied by hashtags such as: #Your_right_is_coming_back_my_brother and **#Youssef_Shalash_right_must_return**, while activists circulated clips from his imposing funeral, which was witnessed by a large crowd of the area's residents. For its part, the security services in the Cairo Security Directorate arrested the accused after the investigations revealed that the incident resulted from previous disputes, and that the intention was to target the victim's brother, but the bullet hit "Youssef" unintentionally, which led to his death.
