HIBAPRESS – Abdellatif Baraka
The workers of the "Mogador" hotel in Agadir are still pursuing their efforts to obtain their legitimate rights, after being subjected to arbitrary dismissal since July 2023, without being provided with any financial or social compensation despite the issuance of judicial rulings in their favor.
The workers have sent an official complaint to the Director General of the National Social Security Fund, as well as to the Regional Director of the institution, in which they demand compensation for the arbitrary dismissal that affected them, especially in light of what they described as the worsening of their social and family situations as a result of the sudden loss of their source of income. The workers' actions did not stop at this point, but they recently sent a plea to the General Administration of the National Social Security Fund, in which they appealed to the competent authorities to urgently intervene to disburse their entitlements, which are still pending despite the passage of more than a year since their dismissal from work, stressing that their situation can no longer bear further delay or procrastination. It is worth noting that this issue reached the Parliament, where a written question was directed to the Minister of Economy and Finance about the measures that the Ministry intends to take to do justice to these workers, but the situation is still stagnant, awaiting the activation of the implementation and follow-up mechanisms. The workers express their hope that their plea will find an echo with the concerned authorities, and that their demands, which they affirm are legitimate and based on binding judicial decisions, will be met.
