The insurance of electric scooters "Trotinettes" has launched in Morocco, after an insurance company launched the first insurance product for users of this means of transportation.
This comes in light of the rapid spread of this type of transportation in various Moroccan cities, especially among young people and workers in urban areas, as "Trotinettes" has become a practical and fast means of daily transportation, despite the risks involved that require effective insurance protection. The new product includes two types of coverage: the first covers compensation for material and physical damages that may be inflicted on others, and the second covers the driver himself against the costs of treatment or in cases of death and permanent disability, with the provision of various options to suit the needs of different users. Sector experts believe that this step represents a qualitative shift in the insurance market in Morocco, and reflects a growing trend towards integrating modern means of transportation into the urban safety and sustainability system.
