HIBAPRESS – Midelt
In an initiative that reflects a sense of responsibility and engagement with the local sentiment, a strong call has emerged from civil society actors and those concerned about the city of Midelt to direct the budget allocated for artistic performances, which were canceled from the National Apple Festival, towards a more noble goal: the acquisition of a second "scanner" for the regional hospital.
This proposal comes amid growing awareness of the importance of rationalizing expenditures and directing them to serve citizens, especially in vital areas such as health, which still represents one of the most prominent daily challenges for the population of the province.
The proposal, which has received widespread interaction on social media platforms, called on the Governor of the Midelt province and all local actors to adopt this humanitarian initiative, which would alleviate the suffering of patients, reduce long waiting periods, and even plant genuine joy in the hearts of citizens.
"With this step, Midelt can set an example in local governance and linking culture to development," says one local observer, adding that "the true celebration of humanity is when we transform our resources into what saves people's lives and restores their hope."
This initiative is in line with the high royal vision of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, may God protect him, which calls for achieving regional justice and sustainable development that directly affects the lives of citizens and enhances the values of solidarity and shared responsibility.
Thus, this year's Apple Festival may transform from an artistic celebration into a humanitarian carnival that celebrates the spirit of citizenship and social solidarity… Midelt, once again, proves that its true fruits are not apples… but people.
