The Royal Gendarmerie elements of the Sidi Allal El Bahraoui brigade managed, on Tuesday, to seize a "Transit" type vehicle loaded with a significant amount of drugs estimated at three tons, in addition to a rubber boat (zodiac) equipped with an engine suspected of being used in activities related to smuggling attempts.
This intervention came based on accurate data received by the Royal Gendarmerie brigade, which resulted in the arrest of the suspects in the city center as part of a successful and effective field operation that thwarted the movements of the network concerned. By order of the competent Public Prosecution, the detainees were placed under custody to complete the investigation into this case, which is one of the most prominent qualitative operations undertaken by the Royal Gendarmerie brigade in recent weeks, after it had thwarted two previous operations that resulted in the seizure of significant quantities of drugs and two vehicles used in this criminal activity. The Royal Gendarmerie services in the Sidi Allal El Bahraoui brigade continue their continuous efforts to combat crime and enhance security, through precise and proactive interventions aimed at addressing smuggling networks and all forms of illegal activities.
