Sources from HIBAPRESS confirmed that elements of the Sate Judicial Police Department in Settat managed, in the early hours of Friday, October 17th, to arrest a 43-year-old person with a criminal record, on suspicion of involvement in the commission of premeditated murder against his wife and mutilation of her body.
According to an official statement received by "HIBAPRESS", the police departments in the city of Ben Ahmed had opened a judicial investigation against the backdrop of receiving a report about the disappearance of a woman under mysterious circumstances in May of last year, where technical investigations and field investigations revealed that she had been subjected to a fatal physical assault by her husband inside his home. The statement adds that ongoing investigations in this case have shown that the suspect also dismembered his wife's body and cut it into small pieces using an electric saw, before throwing it in a vacant area in the city of Ben Ahmed. The search operation carried out in coordination with elements of the scientific and technical police enabled the discovery of parts of the body and clothes suspected of belonging to the victim, as well as the seizure of white weapons and a large electric saw, as well as a set of utensils and plastic containers and a light car suspected of having been used to transport the body's remains. The remains of the body that were found have been referred to the scientific and technical police laboratory in order to conduct the necessary scientific expertise, while the suspect has been kept under custody pending the judicial investigation, which is supervised by the competent Public Prosecution, in order to reveal all the circumstances and ملابسات of this case, as well as to determine the real backgrounds behind the commission of these criminal acts.
