Oil climbs more than 5% in the week of February 9

Oil prices rose more than 5% during the week of February 9 amid fears of supply disruptions.

International benchmark Brent crude traded at $81.52 per barrel at 11:58 GMT Friday, up more than 5.4 percent from the exchange’s closing price of $77.33. from Friday of last week.

The benchmark American barrel West Texas Intermediate (WTI), for its part, traded at $76.19 per barrel, with an increase of approximately 5.4% compared to last Friday’s closing prices which was 72.28 dollars per barrel.
