Today, the only topic of discussion within the local public opinion in the Southern Mzamza community in the Settat district is the health center in the Ouled Azzouz area, which has been closed for years. Its building has even turned into ruins and a haven for the homeless and shameful appearances.
A health clinic located only a few kilometers from the city of Settat has become an abandoned building, suffering in silence without providing its medical services to the residents, including pregnant women, the elderly, and school students. This raises several questions about the reason for the closure on the one hand and the usefulness of its initial establishment on the other hand? Many community activists from the region were surprised by the absence of any procedural intervention that would restore services to this health facility within the framework of applying the principle of equal opportunities for all to access health services. At the same time, they called on the public health services of the province to rescue this health center, which has become a favorite destination for animals and a garbage dump due to the erosion of its walls and the weakness of its infrastructure, demanding that the responsible authorities show mercy and compassion for the simple residents of the region by opening the doors of this clinic and strengthening it with medical and nursing staff, stressing that the residents of the neighborhood find it very difficult to obtain medical and nursing services and first aid resulting from scorpion stings and cases of high temperatures among young children.
