The police elements of the New Salé security district managed, this Saturday morning, October 25, to arrest a person aged 38, on suspicion of his involvement in non-compliance, insulting a public official while performing his duties, intentionally injuring him, and transporting passengers without a license.
The suspect had entered into a dispute with a foreign citizen whom he had transported in a car without having a license. A police officer intervened to resolve the conflict between the two parties, but the person concerned did not comply and continued driving the vehicle, causing injuries to the police officer. These criminal acts were the subject of a video posted on social media pages.
The investigations and inquiries carried out in this case resulted in the identification of the suspect, before he was arrested during a security operation carried out in New Salé, in addition to the seizure of the car used by him.
The suspect has been subjected to a judicial investigation conducted under the supervision of the competent public prosecutor's office, in order to reveal all the circumstances of this case, as well as to determine all the criminal acts attributed to the person concerned.
