The Public Prosecution at the Court of First Instance in Marrakech ordered, this Saturday afternoon, the detention of a woman in her thirties in Al-Odaya prison, and her prosecution on charges of marital infidelity and corruption. A Spanish citizen was also prosecuted while released on bail of 5,000 dirhams, on charges of participating in marital infidelity.
The police services of the 16th security district had opened an investigation on Thursday, the day before yesterday, after receiving a complaint from the detained woman's husband, in which he accused his wife of marital infidelity with a Spanish citizen. According to sources of the newspaper, the police officers went to an apartment, where the wife was caught with the Spanish citizen. She was taking advantage of her husband's absence from the house due to his work, to establish illegal sexual relations with her lover.
