Turkish club Galatasaray announced on Friday, June 28, the definitive transfer of Hakim Ziyech, with an option for an additional year, after having exercised its purchase option with Chelsea.

“Since the conditions of the free purchase option included in the temporary transfer contract of professional footballer Hakim Ziyech were met, his permanent transfer was carried out free of charge,” Galatasaray said in a statement.

A net salary of 2,850,000 euros per season will be paid to the player for the 2024-2025 season, the same source continued, adding that in accordance with the agreement reached, in the event of the conditional extension option being exercised, a net salary of 2,850,000 euros per season will be paid to the player for the 2025-2026 season.

The Moroccan international was loaned by Chelsea last summer to the recent Turkish champion, with whom he played 23 matches, scoring 8 goals and providing 4 assists.
