The port of Casablanca received a new batch of buses coming from China, as part of the 2025-2029 National Urban Transport Program, which aims to renew the public transport fleet and enhance the quality of mobility within Moroccan cities.
The operation falls within the efforts of the state and local authorities to develop sustainable urban transport that relies on modern and efficient equipment, taking into account environmental safety and passenger comfort. The second phase of the operation will take place inside a special logistical station, where these buses will be assembled, inspected, and equipped with the necessary technical and electronic systems before being distributed to the various beneficiary cities. This step is part of a comprehensive national vision aimed at improving urban transport services and keeping pace with the energy transition towards an environmentally friendly fleet, in line with urban expansion and increasing mobility within the major Moroccan cities.
